Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Construction Inspection Specialist in Philadelphia, PA to perform technical inspections of construction projects and materials testing. The role involves interpreting contracts, applying testing techniques, and exercising independent judgment under supervision.

Travel to field sites is expected to support roadway, drainage, and earthwork projects. Candidate will contribute to safety, records control, and contractor payment calculations while maintaining daily inspection logs

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the procedures and techniques used in construction inspection.
• Ability to read and interpret construction codes, plans, standards, and specifications.
• Ability to perform required computations, cost estimates, and calculations.
• Knowledge of the procedures and techniques involved in the collection and evaluation of technical data.
• Knowledge of the procedures and techniques used in testing on construction materials.
• Knowledge of the use and functionality of standard office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections of construction projects for compliance with contract requirements and standards.
• Quality assurance testing of materials, including sampling and testing documentation.
• Schedule and control test procedures for compaction and soil sampling programs.
• Train personnel to ensure project safety standards are met.
• Prepare project documentation, cost estimates, and progress reports.
