Job summary

Consor is seeking a construction inspector to monitor on-site activities and inspect materials for compliance with plans and contract documents related to excavations, drainage facilities, road surfaces, and structures. You will measure pay items, report daily production, and coordinate with the superintendent and agency personnel.

The role requires reading plans, 2+ years of inspection experience, and valid DOT certifications.

Qualifications

HS Diploma or equivalent.
2+ years of construction inspection experience.
DOT Certifications in one or more area.
Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
Obtain any required certifications and pass appropriate qualifications tests for the position in specified time frames.
Must have a valid driver's license with a good driving record.
Outdoor field job in varied weather conditions and hazards.
Physical demands include lifting up to 35 lbs.

Responsibilities

Inspect, observe, document, and verify work in progress for compliance with schedule and contract documents.
Perform complex mathematical calculations and measurements of completed work.
Maintain inspector's daily report of activities, labor, equipment, and materials.
Perform on-site material testing and produce as-constructed sketches as required.
