Job summary

Consor is seeking a Construction Inspector in Gainesville, FL to monitor on-site activities, verify materials, and ensure compliance with plans, specs, and contract documents. You will coordinate with the contractor’s superintendent and agency personnel throughout inspection phases.

You will perform field measurements, document daily progress, and prepare final documentation for the estimate package. This field role requires outdoor work in varying weather and safe operation of a vehicle.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years construction inspection experience.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specs.
• Obtain any required certifications and pass appropriate tests for the position in time frames.
• Must have a valid driver's license with a good driving record.
• Field environment with exposure to weather and hazards.
• Physical ability to lift up to 35 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and verify work to ensure compliance with schedule and contract documents.
• Perform complex calculations and measurements of completed work.
• Maintain daily reports on activities, labor, equipment, and materials.
• Conduct on-site material testing and prepare as-built sketches.
