Job summary

CTL Engineering, Inc. is hiring Construction Inspectors and Materials Testing Technicians to support field projects across central Ohio and neighboring states. Expect concrete testing, rebar inspection, and reporting on site activities for municipal and private sector projects.

Qualifications include a high school diploma with preferred associate or bachelor degrees in related fields; strong communication; and a valid driving record. ACI certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of engineering, construction, testing and inspection principles.
• Knowledge of materials and lab testing methods.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to perform testing and lab reporting.
• Must possess an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Performs construction Inspector/Materials Testing services, including concrete testing, rebar inspection, and other building materials testing for municipal/private projects.
• Tests, inspects, and reports on concrete pours, rebar placement, soils placement, and related construction activities.
• May perform inspection and sampling of construction materials.
• Performs computations, plots data, and draws simple curves/graphs.
• Assists engineers on-site during soil and materials investigations.
• Ensures field tests/observations align with project specs and standard methods.
• May perform lab testing of soils, concrete, and asphalt.
• Inspections ensure contractor compliance with state specs and plans.
• Prepares and maintains project records and reports.
• Notifies Contractor/Project Engineer of non-conforming work.
