Job summary

CTL Engineering in Columbus, Ohio is seeking Construction Inspectors and Materials Testing Technicians of all experience levels to support our Building Construction Management/Quality Assurance division. You will perform testing and inspection of concrete, rebar, soils, and other building materials on municipal and private projects, with mentoring provided based on your experience.

Typical sites are within a two-hour radius of Columbus, with a Monday–Friday day shift and occasional Saturday

Qualifications

• High School/Tech/Community College graduate with interest in vertical construction.
• Preferred: Associate degree with 2 years related experience or Bachelor’s degree/certification in related field.
• ACI Grade I Concrete Testing Technician (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Perform concrete testing, rebar inspection, and other materials testing for vertical construction.
• Inspect and report on concrete pours, rebar placement, and soils placement.
• Assist engineers in field during soil and materials investigations.
• Maintain project records and reports; notify non-conforming work.
• Ensure tests & observations follow contract documents & standards.
