Job summary

Terracon in Fort Worth, TX seeks Construction Inspectors to perform daily inspections on diverse projects, ensuring quality and code conformance. You will prepare reports, verify materials, and collaborate with engineers to resolve issues on site.

Candidates should have 2–4 years’ related experience, relevant safety certifications, and NICET/ICC/AWS/ASNT/ACI credentials. A valid driver’s license is often required for field work.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Associates degree in Civil Engineering Technology or Construction Engineering Technology preferred.
• Minimum 2–4 years' experience as an Engineering Technician or similar.
• 1 year experience in construction inspection preferred.
• A valid driver's license with acceptable history may be required.
• Successful completion of related internal safety certifications.

Responsibilities

• Performs testing, observation, and inspection as directed in accordance with training and procedures.
• Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Provide clear documentation of findings and results.
• Perform basic data analysis to verify accuracy before submittal to Project Manager.
• Communicate information to Project Manager and other personnel as directed.
• Draft inspection reports for review by senior inspector or Project Managers.
• May assist more senior inspectors on projects.
• Maintain equipment and calibration.
• Follow safety rules and report safety issues to management.
• Maintain quality standards on all projects.
