Job summary

Terracon is seeking a construction inspector to join our West Texas team. You will perform inspections on diverse projects, read drawings, document findings, and communicate with engineers and project managers. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and collaboration with the project team.

The position requires 4–6 years of inspection experience and relevant certifications such as NICET/ICC/AWS/ASNT. Travel and fieldwork in West Texas offices are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associates degree in Civil or Construction Tech preferred.
• Minimum 4–6 years of construction inspection experience.
• NICET/ICC/AWS/ASNT certifications strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing, observation, and inspection per procedures to verify contract conformance.
• Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Prepare inspection reports and document nonconformance.
• Communicate findings to project managers and engineers.
• Lead, coordinate, or assist lower-level inspectors as needed.
• Maintain equipment calibration and safety standards.
