Job summary

Terracon in Dallas, TX is seeking Construction Inspectors to perform daily construction inspections, monitor quality and adherence to building codes, drawings and project specifications, and prepare written inspection reports.

The role requires NICET Level II, ICC certifications and related credentials (AWS CWI, ASNT VT/MT/PT/RT/UT, ACI lab/field testing) with 2–4 years’ experience, a valid driver’s license, and a commitment to safety on site.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or higher in civil/construction tech is preferred.
• NICET Level II certs in construction materials testing or geotechnical areas are required or strongly preferred.
• ICC certifications in reinforced concrete or fireproofing bolster qualification for field inspection work.
• AWS CWI and ASNT Level II credentials are commonly required for inspection duties.
• ACI field/strength testing technician certs support field testing responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Performs daily inspection of construction projects to monitor quality and compliance with codes, drawings, and specifications.
• prepares inspection reports and communicates findings to engineers/project managers.
• maintains safety standards and collaborates with project team on solutions.
• reads and interprets construction drawings and specs to verify conformance.
• drafts inspection reports for review by senior inspectors or project managers.

Education

Associates degree in Civil Engineering Technology or Construction Engineering Technology
