Job summary

Terracon in Phoenix is seeking seasoned Construction Inspectors to perform field inspections, testing, and documentation across multiple disciplines. You will read drawings, prepare clear reports, and communicate findings to engineers and project managers.

The role requires 2–4 years in construction inspection, a valid driver’s license, and several safety certifications including NICET, ICC, AWS CWI, and ASNT Level II. You will ensure safety and quality on site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Associates degree in Civil Engineering Technology preferred.
• Minimum 2-4 years’ experience in construction inspection.
• A valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history may be required.
• Successful completion of related internal safety certifications.
• Three or more certifications: NICET II (Construction Materials Testing, Geotechnical), ICC (various), AWS CWI, ASNT II, VT/MT/PT/RT/UT, ACI certifications in field/lab testing.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing, observation, and inspection per procedures to verify contract adherence.
• Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Provide clear documentation of findings and results.
• Prepare inspection reports and document nonconformance.
• Conduct basic data analysis and communicate results to the Project Manager.
• Coordinate with project team and client to resolve findings.
• Maintain equipment operation and calibration and follow safety rules.
