Qualifications

• Minimum 2–4 years' experience as an Engineering Technician or related field.
• NICET Level II certification in Construction Materials Testing (Asphalt, Concrete, Soils).
• NICET Level II certification in Geotechnical (Construction, Laboratory, Exploration, Generalist).
• ICC certification (Reinforced Concrete, Spray-applied Fireproofing, Structural Masonry, Prestressed/Post-Tensioned Concrete, Structural Steel - Bolting, Welding).
• AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI).
• ASNT Level II certification (VT, MT, PT, RT, UT).
• ACI certifications in one or more areas (Concrete Field Testing Technician I, Concrete Strength Testing).
• Radiation safety and Nuclear Density Gauge operation certifications.

Responsibilities

• Performs testing, observation, and inspection per procedures.
• Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Documents findings clearly and prepares inspection reports.
• Communicates results to Project Manager and team.
• Drafts inspection reports for review by senior inspectors.
• Maintains calibration of equipment and adheres to safety standards.
• Assists senior inspectors on projects as needed.
• Maintains quality standards on all projects.

High school diploma

Associates degree in Civil Engineering Technology or Construction Engineering Technology
