Job summary

Terracon Consultants, Inc. seeks a Construction Inspector to perform field inspections across multiple disciplines, ensuring conformance with plans, specs, and safety standards.

You will read drawings, document findings, and prepare reports for project teams. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, 2–4 years of inspection experience, and a valid driver's license; an associates degree in Civil/Construction Tech is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Associates degree in Civil Engineering Technology or Construction Engineering Technology preferred.
• Minimum 2-4 years' experience in construction inspection.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable violation history.

Responsibilities

• Performs testing, observation, and inspection as directed to ensure contract specifications are met.
• Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Provide clear documentation of findings and results.
• Prepare inspection reports and document nonconformance.
• Communicate information to Project Manager and other personnel as directed.
• Maintain safety standards and assist with scope development for testing and inspection services.
• Coordinate pre-dispatch activities with project, department, and office managers.
