Job summary

Enbridge is seeking a Construction Inspector I to support gas distribution projects. You will use GPS to capture main and service as-builts, verify contractor work against standards, and coordinate with developers, builders, and customers on job sites.

The role requires three years of construction experience, detailed knowledge of fusion tools, and the ability to work independently in field and office settings. Base salary and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Three years of construction-related experience.
• Knowledge of fusion equipment (Socket, Butt, Saddle).
• Understanding gas line construction and cathodic protection basics.
• Knowledge of CORE status and workflows for mains and services.
• Ability to read maps using Field Smart and relate with customers.

Responsibilities

• Uses GPS to collect Main and Service As-Builts.
• Completes paperwork electronically.
• Determines locations for work to be performed.
• Coordinates between company, contractor, builder and customer at job sites.
• Identifies problems at the sites.
• Interprets policy to developers, contractors and builders.
• Coordinates installations with developers.
• Ensures services are complete and data enters CORE system.
• Verifies contractor work meets company standards and specs.
• Checks worksheets for accuracy before sending to OnBase and Engineering.
