Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson (JMT) is seeking a Technical Assistant for construction inspections in the southeastern Pennsylvania region, supporting highway, bridge and infrastructure projects for PennDOT and other agencies. The role involves on-site inspection, reviewing plans, measuring elevations, and documenting field observations to ensure safety and conformance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; may be substituted for experience.
• Active driver's license and reliable vehicle required for field work.
• Construction inspection experience preferred or required for on-site duties.

Responsabilités

• Assist client and inspection team with on-site inspection and documentation of construction activities.
• Review and interpret plans, site layouts, specifications and construction methods to ensure compliance to legal requirements and safety regulations.
• Measure dimensions and verify level, alignment and elevation of structures, fixtures, grades and pavements to ensure compliance with plans.
• Make field notes and calculations and maintain record documents (using PennDOT ECMS and other systems).
• Witness routine sampling and tests on concrete, soils and other materials; perform related duties as assigned.
