Job summary

Pennoni Associates is seeking Construction Inspectors to join us on a Full-Time or Part-Time basis in the South and Central New Jersey, SE Pennsylvania and Northern Delaware.

The role requires 1–3 years of field experience inspecting construction work, reading drawings, writing reports, and coordinating with engineers, contractors, and clients. Preferred certifications include ICC (Concrete, Masonry, Fireproofing, Soils, or Deep Foundations), ACI-G1, NJDCA, or a BS in Civil Engineering with EIT.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 1–3 years related experience in construction/inspection.
• Preferred ICC certifications or ACI-G1, NJDCA or BS with EIT.

Responsibilities

• Inspect construction work and perform materials testing in the field.
• Monitor compliance with drawings and specifications for reinforced concrete, masonry, structural steel, spray applied proofing, soils and/or foundations.
• Perform field testing of plastic concrete, grout, mortar, block, fireproofing, soils and/or nondestructive testing of welds.
• Read drawings and specifications; write reports; communicate with engineers, contractors, and clients.
