Job summary

Techno Consult Engineering, PC is seeking a Construction Inspector to support Maryland infrastructure and capital improvement projects. The role involves field inspections to ensure compliance with codes, safety regulations, project drawings, and technical specifications, with tunnel experience considered a plus.

Responsibilities include inspecting bridges, site utilities, and structural systems, preparing detailed inspection reports, and coordinating with project teams and contractors.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of relevant construction inspection experience.
• ICC or NICET certifications desirable.
• Knowledge of construction codes, standards, and specifications.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and technical documents.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect construction sites to ensure compliance with codes, safety regulations, and project drawings/specifications.
• Inspect bridges, utilities, and structural systems; tunnel experience is a plus.
• Identify deviations from approved plans and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports and maintain records of inspections and tests.
• Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and stakeholders on inspection findings.
