Job summary

Urban Engineers in Baltimore, MD seeks a Construction Inspector responsible for supervising bridge and roadway construction projects, managing contractor performance, budget adherence, and deadlines.

You will perform submittal reviews, document control, daily inspector reports, and ensure compliance with contract documents across structural steel, concrete, masonry, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and architectural elements.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Construction Engineering preferred.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience required.
• Certifications include Concrete Field, Soils and Aggregates, Hot Mix Asphalt, Work Zone Safety, OSHA 10, Erosion and Sediment Control.

Responsibilities

• Monitor adherence to contract documents.
• Implement quality control procedures.
• Prepare Inspector Daily Reports.
• Perform construction inspection tasks for: Structural steel, Concrete, Masonry, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire protection, and Architectural elements.
