Job summary

Greenman-Pedersen, Inc. is seeking Construction Inspectors to join our West Virginia team, supporting bridge, road, canal, utilities, and multi-use trail projects from our Martinsburg office.

We seek candidates with a strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and ability to handle multiple projects with a team. Ideal applicants will have WV TRET certification (Level 1–5) or be able to obtain it within six months, plus prior inspection experience.

Qualifications

• Must have valid WV TRET certification or obtain within 6 months of hire.
• Previous construction inspection experience.
• Certification in WVDOH Material Testing programs is a plus.
• Familiarity with WVDOH SiteManager and ProjectWise applications.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily field inspections and observations of contractor work for heavy highway/bridge projects.
• Measure, compute, record, and maintain contract quantities for payments.
• Read and interpret project plans, specs, and standards.
• Conduct or observe material sampling and testing per project standards.
• Ensure contractor work/materials meet project standards and specs.
• Document daily project progress, including conformance, manpower, and quantities.
• Record project progress and documentation in SiteManager and ProjectWise.
• Identify and communicate project issues to project managers and contractor.
• Identify and communicate unsafe conditions to the contractor.
