Job summary

GCON Inc. is seeking a Construction Engineer to support the project team with document control, cost tracking, and field supervision.

You will assist in maintaining contract documents, processing PCOs, and coordinating information to meet safety, schedule, and quality standards. The role involves collaboration with the project engineer, project manager, and field operations to ensure efficient information flow, accurate data entry, and adherence to the project contract.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field is required.
• Ability to learn and adapt to technology platforms.
• Proficiencies in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Assist with document control and maintenance of current contract documents.
• Use project closeout checklist to assemble closeout documents.
• Enter Potential Change Orders (PCO) and issues in CMiC with accurate pricing and approvals.
• Participate in monthly payment applications and subcontractor invoice reviews.
• Understand RFIs and submittals and their impact on risk mitigation; input data into CMiC.
• Assist preparation of Contract Items List (CIL) and ensure compliance.
• Assist monthly GC/GR forecasting and management.
• Understand basic scheduling and assist with Long Lead Matrix and project milestones.
• Help develop subcontract labor projections for field needs.
• Complete OSHA 30-hour training and comply with safety regulations.
