Job summary

GCON is seeking a Construction Engineer to support the project engineer, manager, and field operations in Hillsboro, OR. You will assist with project documents, cost tracking, and on-site supervision to ensure safety, schedule adherence, and high-quality construction per contract documents.

The role emphasizes prioritization, collaboration with the project team, and adherence to GCON safety practices while supporting field operations and long-term project success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, related field, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to learn and adapt to technology platforms.
• Proficiencies in Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Assist with document control process and maintenance of current contract documents.
• Utilize project closeout checklist to assemble project closeout documents as they are generated.
• Input Potential Change Orders (PCO) and Issues in CMiC, accurately.
• Ensure pricing data is accurate and process flow of approvals is followed.
• Participate in monthly payment application process and subcontractor invoice reviews and approvals.
• Understand Request for Information (RFI) and submittal processes and impact to risk mitigation.
• Input correct data into CMiC.
• Assist with preparation of assembling Contract Items List (CIL) and compliance.
• Assist in monthly GC/GR forecasting and management.
