Job summary

Humphreys & Partners Architects seeks a Construction Administrator to support our Western Region projects. Based in Phoenix, AZ, this role requires frequent travel to job sites and close coordination with owners and contractors to ensure work aligns with contract documents and design intent.

The ideal candidate has a architecture-related degree and 4–10 years of experience, with strong communication, observation, and documentation skills to drive projects from construction through completion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 4-10 years of experience in construction administration or related role.
• Thorough understanding of architectural/ construction terminology and building codes and standards.
• Ability to communicate, negotiate, and resolve disputes.
• Ability to document observations and manage field communications.

Responsibilities

• Interpret construction contract documents and track progress of work.
• Observe construction for conformity to contract documents and specs.
• Establish open communication between owner, contractor and project staff.
• Review payment requests and change orders for validity.
• Prepare field reports and close non-conforming observations with involved parties.
• Coordinate monthly travel to assigned job sites.
• Maintain favorable relationships with clients and contractors.
• Coordinate with HUD representatives and document HUD field activities.
• Review submittals and RFIs against contract documents.
