Job summary

Cooper Machinery Services is seeking an experienced Lease Compression Technician II to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot repairs, and optimize equipment performance across natural gas compressor packages in the field and shop.

You will work independently, communicate clearly with customers, and travel to assigned locations to complete maintenance tasks and provide recommendations. Strong hands-on experience with gas compression equipment is required.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of hands-on experience with natural gas compression equipment.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing engines/compressors in field or shop.
• Ability to travel to customer sites and work extended hours if needed.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve moderate issues on natural gas compressor packages at customer sites.
• Perform preventive maintenance and routine repairs in field and shop settings.
• Monitor performance and generate reports on unit operation.
• Serve as on-site customer contact, communicating status and next steps.
