Job summary

Cooper Machinery Services is seeking a Field Service Technician to plan and execute site installations of Reciprocating Compression equipment. You will serve as the SME in diagnosing and resolving customer-reported issues, offering preventive maintenance guidance and efficiency improvements.

You will perform field testing, supervise repairs, and conduct daily safety training while maintaining strong relationships with customer contacts to ensure ongoing operational reliability.

Qualifications

• Requires at least 2 years of experience with Reciprocating Compression.
• Education path includes technical degree or equivalent work experience, plus formal training in technical programs.
• Proficiency with Word and Excel; experience with product documentation (blueprints, drawings, schematics, BOM).
• Strong leadership, safety focus, and customer-service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute site installation activities for Reciprocating Compression equipment.
• Act as SME in investigating and resolving customer-reported technical problems.
• Provide recommendations to remediate operational or service difficulties and offer preventive maintenance procedures.
• Diagnose and correct engine or compressor problems using standard troubleshooting processes.
• Perform equipment testing in the field and supervise repairs or maintenance.
• Conduct daily safety training and oversee safety checks; report concerns.
