Job summary

Phasor USA, LLC in the United States is seeking a Field Commissioning Lead to direct testing and commissioning of MV/HV systems and protection schemes, from construction through energization, on a field-based schedule.

The role requires leading technical teams, interpreting drawings, and ensuring safety compliance, with extended travel to project sites. A strong background in electrical engineering and hands-on relay testing is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology Diploma, or Power Systems Electrician Journeyman certification.
• 4+ years of commissioning leadership experience within utility or MV/HV environments.
• Hands-on relay testing and commissioning experience.
• Experience with substations, protection & control systems, and utility infrastructure.
• Experience with Omicron testing equipment is a strong asset.
• Strong troubleshooting and technical problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work extended rotations and travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team in the testing and commissioning of power system protection & control schemes in the utility, power generation, and oil & gas industry
• Read and interpret drawings and troubleshoot / resolve technical issues
• Manage direct reports and delegate tasks as needed
• Report preparation and submission
• Assist with generation of commissioning startup procedures or work instructions
• Ensure compliance with all safety practices as per corporate, client, and industry standards
• Initiate and/or respond to customer inquiries, discuss trouble details and confirm resolutions
