Job summary

Smart Care Equipment Solutions is seeking a Commercial Kitchen Service Technician to service and repair commercial cooking, refrigeration, ware‑washing, and related equipment in NW Indiana. You will diagnose issues, read diagrams, and liaise with manufacturers for parts and guidance, working with the Technical Assistance Group on complex cases.

You’ll install parts, promote additional Smart Care services, and complete administrative duties while maintaining safety and productivity in a mobile

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of technical experience with refrigeration, appliance repair, kitchen equipment, HVAC, or relevant military service.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable MVR.
• Willingness to participate in emergency on‑call rotation including nights and weekends.
• Occasional overnight travel as needed.
• Immigration sponsorship not provided for this role.

Responsibilities

• Partner with restaurant and hospitality managers to service commercial cooking, refrigeration, ware‑washing, and other equipment.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair kitchen equipment from cooking to refrigeration and related systems.
• Communicate with manufacturers to assist diagnoses and parts identification.
• Consult with the Technical Assistance Group for onsite support.
• Install ordered parts in a timely, professional manner per policy.
• Promote additional Smart Care services to customers when appropriate.
• Prepare accurate administrative documents: work orders, time reporting, receipts, and inventory.
• Follow safe work practices and maintain a clean service vehicle and tools.
• Maintain productivity in line with company standards.
