Job summary

Smart Care Equipment Solutions is seeking a Commercial Kitchen Service Technician to join our field team in the United States. You will partner with restaurant managers to service commercial cooking, refrigeration, ware-washing, and other food service equipment, using your troubleshooting skills to diagnose and repair items.

On-site visits require reading diagrams, communicating with manufacturers, and installing parts in line with policy.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 1 year of technical experience with refrigeration, appliance repair, kitchen equipment, HVAC, or relevant military service
• Valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record
• Willingness and ability to be involved with the emergency on-call rotation that includes nights and weekends
• Availability for occasional overnight travel as assigned

Responsibilities

• Partner with restaurant and hospitality managers to offer comprehensive service solutions for commercial cooking, refrigeration, ware-washing, and other specialty food service equipment
• Demonstrate mechanical aptitude and ability to read diagrams and schematics
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair commercial kitchen equipment
• Communicate with manufacturers to assist with diagnoses and parts identification
• Consult with Technical Assistance Group for on-site support
• Install ordered parts for customers in a timely and professional manner
• Promote other Smart Care services as needed
• Produce accurate work orders, time reporting, receipts, and truck stock inventory
• Follow safe work practices and maintain vehicle and tools
• Maintain productivity levels per company standards
