• Requires a high school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a field training officer while coordinating the enforcement and implementation of adapted City of Houston ordinances.
• Perform routine inspections of sites to enforce ordinances concerning high grass, weeds, junk motor vehicles and dangerous buildings.
• Respond to inquiries from citizens, governmental officials and various other City departments; facilitate abatements; may testify in court proceedings or administrative hearings; attend public meetings as needed.
