MC Machinery Systems Inc. in the Charlotte/Concord, NC area seeks an on-site service expert for Mitsubishi laser cutting systems.

You will diagnose, repair, and optimize CNC laser machinery at regional customer sites, traveling Monday through Friday. The role blends hands-on mechanical work with electrical diagnostics, using schematics and test gear, and requires clear customer communication and meticulous service reports.

Qualifications

Hands-on background in machining, manufacturing processes, or industrial equipment.
Comfort using diagnostic tools such as voltmeters, calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators.
Valid driver's license with ability to travel Monday–Friday.
Associate degree or technical certification in electronics, mechanics, mechatronics, or related field.
Experience with electrical measurement equipment and precision tools is preferred.

Responsibilities

Travel to customer facilities to diagnose, troubleshoot, and restore Mitsubishi CNC laser machinery to optimal operation.
Execute thorough mechanical and electrical inspections, including dismantling, rebuilding, alignment, and system tuning.
Provide remote phone support when appropriate to quickly triage issues.
Engage customers with professional, plain-language explanations of findings, timelines, and outcomes.
Leverage schematics, wiring and block diagrams to drive precise, data-based repairs.
Create clear service reports that capture actions taken, root causes, and resolutions; submit accurate expenses promptly.
Care for company tools, test gear, and assigned vehicles to keep them field-ready.
Pitch in with additional tasks that elevate customer satisfaction and team performance.
