Job summary

NOVA Engineering & Environmental is seeking a full-time CMT Engineering Field Technician in the Sarasota, FL metro area. The role involves field testing and inspections of soil, concrete, asphalt, aggregate, and masonry mortar to ensure compliance with project specs.

The technician will review blueprints, document field activities, and report findings to Construction Services staff and clients. Daily use of Metafield is required, with travel for short assignments as needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in construction testing/inspections of soil, concrete, masonry, and/or asphalt materials.

Responsibilities

• Field testing and inspections of soil, concrete, asphalt, aggregate, and masonry mortar/grout for compliance with ASTM, AASHTO, DOT, and/or project specifications.
• Review of blueprints in preparation of field observations on construction sites.
• Documentation of field activities, observations, and testing results on construction projects, and their conformance with (or deviation from) project plans and specifications.
• Daily use of Metafield for recording of testing results.
• Communication of field testing results with Construction Services staff, general contractors, and clients.
