Job summary

NOVA Engineering and Environmental, LLC is hiring a CMT Engineering Technician for our Tallahassee, FL team. You will perform field tests on soil, concrete, masonry, rebar and asphalt and prepare detailed field reports with test results.

Responsibilities include evaluating site conditions, interpreting plans, and communicating findings to clients and staff. The role requires lifting up to 70 pounds and provides growth opportunities with certification support.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret plans, specs, safety rules and procedures.
• Ability to apply basic math to calculate quantities and test results.
• Must be able to lift, carry, push and pull up to 70 pounds regularly.

Responsibilities

• Perform field testing of soil, concrete, masonry, rebar and asphalt.
• Prepare detailed field reports with test results and observations.
• Conduct basic lab tests on soil and concrete and report results.
• Evaluate site and subgrade conditions and provide recommendations.
• Communicate with clients, contractors and staff on issues.
