Job summary

NOVA Engineering is seeking a CMT Engineering Technician for our Panama City Beach, FL team. You will perform field materials testing on soil, concrete, masonry, rebar, and asphalt, and prepare detailed reports with test results and inspections.

The role requires 2+ years of experience, potential ICC certifications, and the ability to read plans and interpret safety rules. You must be able to lift up to 70 pounds regularly and communicate clearly with clients and staff.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in field testing and inspections.
• ICC certifications in soils, reinforced concrete and masonry are a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specs, safety rules and procedures.
• Capable of lifting up to 70 pounds regularly.

Responsibilities

• Perform field materials testing of soil, concrete, masonry, rebar, asphalt.
• Prepare detailed field reports with test results and inspections/observations.
• Perform basic laboratory tests on soil and concrete and report results.
• Evaluate site and subgrade conditions and provide recommendations.
• Communicate with clients, contractors, and staff regarding construction issues.
