Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3 years of relevant field experience in construction materials testing or related discipline.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and technical specifications.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs, work outdoors in varying conditions, and travel between job sites.
• Knowledge of construction materials testing methods and ASTM standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform field testing on construction materials including soil compaction, concrete slump, air content, temperature, and cylinder sampling.
• Observe field activities and document field results in clear daily reports.
• Communicate field findings with project managers, engineers, and contractors.
• Ensure equipment is calibrated, maintained, and used safely on-site and in the lab.
• Travel to job sites as required and support QA/QC activities.
• Assist with more complex inspections and mentor junior technicians as experience grows.
