• Identify and address coverage, underwriting, and legal Issues.
• Review, evaluate, counsel, and coach staff. Document and maintain appropriate records of performance.
• Conduct, assist in, or supervise employee orientation, and identify and participate in on-going training and development needs of all team staff.
• Review all reserves and payments within established authority. Assist in establishing and improving accurate and timely reserving procedures.
• Communicate quality and service standards to staff and vendors.
• Assist and train Adjusters in the recognition and investigation of fraud, subrogation, and/or salvage.
• Establish effective procedures for the timely resolution of claims.
• Continuously evaluate and improve the overall effectiveness of the unit, including developing and improving workflow to optimize functionality.
• Review and supervise claim handling throughout the unit.
• Identify and advise management of trends, problems, and issues, as well as recommended courses of action.
• Recommend to management new ideas for continuous process improvement.
• Lead by example in professional knowledge and development.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree required,or equivalent combination of training and experience.

Experience: Five (5) to ten (10) years related experience and / or training with specific experience managing a claims team.

Licensure: State of Florida 5--20 or 6-20 License required; AIC or CPCU designation preferred.
