Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Claims Investigator to validate the facts of loss for insurance claims through scene investigations, interviews, and document retrieval. A Private Investigator license is required prior to applying, with 2+ years of complex claims experience and the ability to work varied hours including weekends.

Role involves gathering information independently, following guidance from the carrier's adjuster, and producing clear, professional reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice or equivalent experience.
• Associate's degree in Criminal Justice with 4+ years of complex insurance investigations or adjusting.
• High school diploma with 6+ years of complex insurance investigations or adjusting.
• Ability to be licensed as a Private Investigator where required by the state.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in insurance investigations or adjusting complex claims.
• Knowledge of anti-fraud laws and insurance regulations in home state/region.
• SIU compliance knowledge.
• Typing 40+ WPM with low error rate.
• Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends/holidays.
• Proficient with laptops and cell phones.

Responsibilities

• Investigate insurance claims across workers' comp, GL, property & casualty, and disability.
• Collect information via interviews, data collection, and scene investigations.
• Follow guidance from the insurer's adjuster to perform field tasks.
• Document investigations with clear, professional reports and memos.
• Run database checks and verify data accuracy when needed.
