Job summary

Acuity Insurance is seeking a Field Claims Representative to investigate, record facts, preserve evidence, determine coverage, and arrange for the disposition of claims through settlement or denial. The role emphasizes in-person work in the field with a high level of frequency.

You will conduct thorough investigations, assess liability and damages, pursue subrogation when possible, and communicate clearly with insureds, physicians, and attorneys.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of insurance claims experience, multi-line or field adjusting preferred.
• College degree or equivalent.
• Knowledge of property and casualty claims practices and state statutes.
• Ability to analyze coverage, liability, and damages.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Organizes work and coordinates with all parties around claim assignment.
• Completes thorough investigations to determine coverage, liability and damages.
• Conducts investigations and provides in-person customer follow-up.
• Evaluates reserve changes as needed.
• Inspects property damage and assesses losses.
• Pursues subrogation opportunities when applicable.
• Maintains communication with insureds and attorneys as needed.
• Ensures professional handling and timely disposition of claims.
