Job summary

Acuity Insurance is seeking a Field Claims Representative to investigate, record facts, preserve evidence, and determine coverage. This role requires conducting investigations in the field with a high level of frequency and in-person contact with all pertinent parties surrounding claim assignments.

The candidate should have a college degree, at least 5 years of insurance claims experience, and the ability to analyze liability, reserve changes, and potential subrogation opportunities.

Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of insurance claims experience.
• Multi-line and/or field adjusting experience preferred.
• Trucking litigation background is a plus.
• Ability to decipher medical records and bills.

Responsibilities

• Investigate to determine coverage, liability and damages.
• Record facts and preserve evidence.
• Conduct in-person investigations and customer follow-up.
• Evaluate and adjust reserves.
• Inspect property damage and manage claim disposition.
• Supervise defense attorneys in mediations and depositions.
