About the Role

RC Services is seeking experienced and motivated Field Claims Investigators to support insurance claim investigations throughout the New Jersey area. Ideal individuals will thrive in fieldwork, enjoy investigative analysis, and can manage assignments independently.

In this role, you will conduct on-site investigations, gather evidence, interview involved parties, and produce professional reports to support claim evaluation and resolution.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough, multi-faceted insurance claim investigations in the field
• Perform site inspections including photographs, video documentation, measurements, and scene diagrams
• Locate and interview claimants, witnesses, and other involved parties
• Obtain signed or recorded statements as needed

Evidence Gathering & Analysis

• Collect and document relevant evidence to support claim determinations
• Evaluate findings and provide clear, objective summaries and recommendations
• Maintain sound judgment throughout investigations

Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare and submit detailed, client-ready investigative reports
• Provide timely status updates on all assigned casesEnsure all assignments are completed in accordance with company standards and timelines

Qualifications

Required

• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends when needed

Preferred

• Minimum of 3+ years of investigative experience (insurance, legal, or related field)
• Prior insurance claims investigation or adjusting experience
• Strong observational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• High level of organization and time management
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and basic technology systems
• Notary Public designation
