Job summary

CoVolt Power is seeking a field-based Civil Engineer to support project management on solar, battery storage, and high-voltage infrastructure sites in Illinois. You will ensure civil work aligns with owner contracts and project schedules.

Review civil plans, coordinate subcontractors, and maintain safety and quality on site using Procore. A civil engineering degree and on-site leadership experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with civil scope on renewable energy projects.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specs, and schedules.
• Strong communication and leadership on construction sites.

Responsibilities

• Review civil plan documents and subcontract to ensure alignment.
• Manage civil subcontractors to meet timelines with safety and quality.
• Experience with SWPPP/DEQ plans and requirements.
• Plan daily activities for the civil scope in collaboration with subcontractors.
• Know project plans, specs, drawings, submittals, and permits.
• Provide daily updates to project management for progress tracking.
• Work with the team to track scope, schedule, and cost for the civil scope.
