Job summary

Stantec is offering Summer 2027 Civil Engineering internships in our Community Development Group across Minnesota, including Saint Cloud and Twin Cities. You will gain hands-on experience on public infrastructure projects and work alongside experienced practitioners and clients.

You will perform field construction observations, assist with design and drafting in CAD/Civil 3D, and contribute to reports and project deliverables while developing professional skills and a network within a global

Qualifications

Enrolled in a bachelor’s degree (minimum) in civil engineering, structural engineering, construction engineering, GIS/Survey, or related field.
Basic understanding of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and surveying is preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Assist with civil project components in a design team.
Conduct construction observation for compliance.
Assist with construction administration tasks including documenting activities and coordinating tests.
Prepare detailed project reports.
Assist with survey/staking as needed.
Communicate with stakeholders.
Assist with CAD drafting and design, and preparation of plans and specifications.
