Job summary

Stantec is seeking Summer 2027 Civil Engineering interns to join our Community Development Group in Minnesota, including the Twin Cities, St. Cloud, and Rochester.

You’ll gain hands-on experience on urban design, roadways, trails, and infrastructure projects, working outdoors and in a team setting with seasoned professionals. You will perform construction observation, documentation, and coordination, with opportunities to learn AutoCAD, Civil 3D, surveying, and project reporting while supporting

Qualifications

Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field.
coursework in civil design, infrastructure, surveying, or construction management is preferred.
Reliable communication and organizational skills are essential.

Responsibilities

Assist with civil design in a team environment on various projects.
Perform construction observation for project compliance with documents and standards.
Support construction administration activities including documenting actions and testing coordination.
Prepare detailed project reports.
Assist with surveying/staking tasks as needed.
Communicate with stakeholders including clients and contractors.
Assist with CAD drafting and plan preparation as available.
