This role is ideal for a hands‑on civil engineer who enjoys working directly on construction sites and collaborating with field crews to ensure projects are executed according to engineering specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform site layout and establish survey control points for structural and civil components such as columns, walls, and roadways.
• Conduct field inspections and site visits to verify construction activities align with engineering drawings and specifications.
• Prepare and modify engineering documents including:
  • Plans
  • Reports
  • Specifications
  • Cost estimates
  • Construction schedules
• Utilize engineering software such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D to support project planning and design updates.
• Evaluate topographical, geological, hydrological, and soil data to support site development and construction decisions.
• Assist with grading, earthwork design, and stormwater drainage analysis.
• Support environmental permitting efforts including NPDES and wetlands considerations.
• Coordinate with field crews, project managers, and engineering teams to resolve technical issues during construction.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, and project outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
• 4+ years of civil engineering experience, preferably in site development or field engineering.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required; pursuing Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
