Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a Civil/Earthworks Field Engineer in Brownsville, TX, to perform construction engineering tasks within the Civil discipline, including concrete, steel, earthwork, and scaffolding, and to develop work plans and coordinate inspections. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering and 5–8 years of relevant experience (or 9–12 years). You will support field supervision, ensure quality, safety, and documentation, and liaise with engineering and procurement.

Qualifications

• Required bachelor's degree in engineering or related field and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience.
• Knowledge of Bechtel's Zero Accident Philosophy and ES&H Handbook.
• Experience supervising subcontractors and field activities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with engineering on constructability and design issues.
• Provide field engineering support to superintendents and verify materials and quality.
• Develop work plans, coordinate material take-offs and inspections, and document progress.
• Support planning and delivery of construction materials and equipment.
