Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking a Civil Construction Inspector II in Nashville to support civil infrastructure projects including roads, bridges, water facilities and pipelines.

You will observe construction progress, document findings, and collaborate with project managers and field staff. Qualified candidates will have at least 3 years of inspection experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and proficiency with MS Office.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent (or 8 years relevant inspection experience).
• Minimum of 3 years of construction inspection experience.
• Proficient with MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team; strong documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and document observations of construction as it progresses for civil projects.
• Collaborate with other field representatives or Project Managers.
• Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications, and identify discrepancies.
• Provide guidance to less-experienced field staff as needed.
• Perform other duties as needed.
