HDR, Inc. is seeking a Transportation Construction Inspector B to support civil infrastructure projects across roads, bridges, transit and environmental work. You will observe, document and interpret construction activities, ensuring alignment with plans, specs and contract documents.

You will collaborate with inspectors, engineers and project managers, perform routine material testing, and provide guidance to field staff while maintaining quality and safety standards in all weather conditions.

Qualifikationen

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in construction or inspection.
• Proficient with MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook).
• Able to read and interpret plans, specs and contract documents.
• Drug-screening required; background checks apply.

Aufgaben

• Observe and document construction progress for civil infrastructure projects.
• Collaborate with Inspectors, Construction Managers, Engineers and Project Managers.
• Read and interpret construction plans, shop drawings, specs and contract documents; identify discrepancies.
• Track and maintain project materials documentation.
• Perform routine material testing on concrete, soils and other materials.
• Provide guidance to less-experienced field staff as needed.
• Ensure quality control tasks are monitored for contract compliance.
• Work outside in inclement weather and perform other duties as needed.
