Field Chief Surveyor Position for Heavy Highway Contractor

Description: Perform Construction Engineering calculations and layout operations for field operations utilizing Trimble Robotic and GPS technology.

Duties:

1. Perform construction engineering surveying, including structural layout, setting/verifying horizontal and vertical control, roadway staking, topographic surveys, and utility layout.
2. Oversee and schedule daily field survey requests.
3. Read and interpret plan data to assist with construction operations.
4. Verify project final records and perform as-built survey operations.
5. Support quantity control and project documentation.
6. Assist with machine control setup and verification.
7. Ensure compliance with DOT construction requirements.
8. Set up, fly, and process LIDAR drone data.

Skills/Qualifications:

• Five years of construction experience.
• Bachelor’s or associate’s degree in land surveying.
• Additional compensation offered for Professional Land Surveyor’s license.
• Knowledge of Trimble surveying and machine control systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Drafting and design skills using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, and Agtek.
