ISEC is seeking a motivated and strategic Business Development professional with proven experience in the Life Sciences sector to join our Science and Technology division! This is a remote role, sitting in either Seattle, WA or Portland, OR with regular travel within the assigned territory and to client sites as required. The ideal candidate brings a consultative sales approach, technical expertise, and a strong track record of building lasting client relationships.
In this role, you are responsible for driving sales growth across ISEC's offerings-including laboratory furniture, airflow products, scientific equipment, specialty flooring, and installation services. You will identify new opportunities, engage key stakeholders, and support projects in a variety of markets, including higher education, healthcare, pharmaceutical, biotech, commercial / industrial, and government sectors.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Develop and maintain relationships with owners, developers, general contractors, and architects
- Drive sales across ISEC's core scopes of work : lab furniture, airflow systems, scientific equipment, specialty flooring, and installation services
- Identify and pursue project opportunities in target markets, including life sciences, higher education, healthcare, and government sectors
- Network through client meetings, industry events, and affiliations with local construction and real estate organizations
- Prepare and deliver tailored sales presentations aligned with client objectives
- Communicate effectively throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring seamless transitions from business development to estimating and operations teams
- Develop and implement strategic plans that align with client needs and ISEC's business goals
- Provide outstanding customer service by responding promptly, resolving issues, and meeting all client commitments
- Represent and advocate for ISEC's brand and commitment to a world-class customer experience
- Travel regularly within the assigned territory as needed
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of sales experience in relevant market sectors such as biotech, pharmaceutical, healthcare, or institutional environments
- Proven ability to meet or exceed sales goals year over year
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Bluebeam, and CRM platforms
- Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams
- Strong organizational skills, sound judgment, and attention to detail
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
- Solid understanding of customer service principles and business fundamentals
