Job summary

Solenis is seeking a Chemical Support Engineer to act as the primary technical resource across the district, ensuring safe and cost-efficient treatment programs for pulp and paper customers. You will collaborate with Sales Account Managers to design, implement, and optimize treatment plans at client sites.

Requirements include a science/engineering degree or equivalent experience, strong problem-solving, and willingness to travel in Eastern Washington with potential relocation to Lewiston, ID.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in science, engineering or technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years in manufacturing or equipment is acceptable in lieu of a degree.
• Ability to solve complex and non-routine technical problems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine service visits and testing to ensure safe, effective, and compliant treatment programs.
• Provide technical support and pre-sales expertise to customers and the sales team throughout the sales process.
• Maintain accurate service records, update databases, and prepare weekly service reports.
• Identify and troubleshoot technical issues at customer sites, develop corrective action plans, and communicate findings to customers and Sales Account Managers.
• Provide technical input for proposals, projects, and customer-facing documentation, while identifying opportunities for business growth within existing accounts.
• Analyze treatment program performance data and recommend improvements.
• Perform routine monitoring, maintenance, and inspection of feed equipment.
• Participate in technical training and professional development activities to expand technical knowledge and skills.
