Job summary

Marketplace Chaplains in Burlington, VT is seeking a part-time chaplain to serve employees and their immediate families remotely across client sites. Regular work site visits (usually weekly) are complemented by confidential pastoral support in line with Christian ministry principles.

Qualifications

• Ability to work as a member of an interdisciplinary group in an interfaith setting.
• Excellent listening and communication abilities with clients, employees and families.
• Spiritual maturity and commitment to Christian ministry and to MCHAP values.
• Diplomatic, patient, courteous interaction with diverse groups and exceptional customer service.
• Strong written and oral communication, and ability to document accurately.

Responsibilities

• Make regular visits to client worksites (usually weekly) to build relationships and provide faith-based support.
• Offer confidential pastoral conversations for personal or family issues and coordinate referrals as needed.
• Assist in planning or attending funerals and provide grief support to employees and families.
• Notify and support families during serious incidents or life events; help coordinate care post-termination if needed.
