Job summary

MCHAP seeks a part‑time chaplain to serve company employees and their families across sites, delivering spiritual care, counseling, and bereavement support. Regular visits to worksites will build relationships rooted in Christian faith and empathy.

Responsibilities include pastoral conversations, event planning, and coordinating with leadership to meet employee needs within the Letter of Agreement. Remote field work will accompany in‑person visits as required.

Qualifications

• 1. Able to work in an interdisciplinary and interfaith setting.
• 2. Strong listening and communication skills for clients and families.
• 3. Christian faith alignment and ministry values.
• 4. Diplomacy and ability to handle sensitive issues.
• 5. Clear written and oral communication; emotional stability.
• 6. Analytical skills to identify solutions and follow up.
• 7. Knowledge of policy interpretation related to the role.
• 8. Proficiency with standard software and learning new tech.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular visits to worksites to engage employees and build trust.
• Provide confidential pastoral discussions on family or personal issues.
• Assist in planning or attending funerals and bereavement support.
• Offer literature and resources for life issues as requested.
• Represent ministry services to clients and employees as appropriate.
• Participate in new employee orientation about Employee Care Service.
• Coordinate with leadership on additional duties within the agreement.
