Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Inspector to perform complex and routine construction inspections at project sites nationwide. You will evaluate materials, methods, and workmanship to ensure conformance with plans, specs, and provisions.

The role requires reading drawings, calculating using field equipment, and communicating findings to supervision. The position is field-based (on-site) with travel up to 40% to multiple locations, including regional sites.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Certifications from a State Highway Agency or NICET/ACI may be required depending on client.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• 12 years of related experience or equivalent.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex and routine inspections to ensure materials and construction meet plans and specs.
• Use higher-grade equipment and perform complex calculations for inspections.
• Work under supervision appropriate to your knowledge level.
• Review drawings to prepare for inspections.
• Document and communicate inspection results to supervisor.
