Job summary

Edgewater Technical Associates seeks a Construction Discipline Engineer (Mechanical/Piping) to lead field construction activities at the Savannah River Site. Responsibilities include planning, constructability reviews, and coordination with design teams to ensure safe, compliant installations.

The role requires ASME piping knowledge, radiological work readiness, and the ability to work extended field periods in a demanding environment. U.S. citizenship and DOE clearance readiness preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Mechanical Eng with 5+ years of field construction experience
• Associate degree in Mechanical Eng with 5–10 years of field construction
• High school diploma with 10+ years of relevant experience

Responsibilities

• Plan and oversee field construction activities within the mechanical/piping discipline.
• Review designs for constructability and resolve field issues with Design Engineers.
• Inspect materials, equipment, and workmanship for code compliance.
• Develop work execution plans and hazard analyses.
• Support start-up and turnover activities for systems.
